Fundraising events are critical in helping us to restore our National Historic Landmark to its original glory, showcase unparalleled artistry, and share the arts with our larger community each season. We host a variety of events and gatherings for our generous donors and patrons throughout the year.

Annual Gala

The Annual Gala generates funds to ensure that The Auditorium can continue bringing you the finest in international, cultural, community, and educational programming while preserving and restoring our magnificent National Historic Landmark theatre. The Gala also features two prestigious awards that recognize exceptional individuals or organizations in the sphere of arts and culture. The Adler & Sullivan Award is awarded to those who have demonstrated a longstanding and generous commitment to The Auditorium, and made an indelible difference to the organization’s mission. The Beatrice Spachner Award recognizes those who make an undeniable and incredibly beneficial impact on the social, artistic, and cultural landscape of Chicago.

Devil's Ball

Devil’s Ball is the Auxiliary Board’s annual cocktail affair that supports the restoration and preservation of our National Historic Landmark. Gather on the stage where hundreds of legendary artists have performed over the years (Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Bruce Springsteen, Wilco, Les Misérables, Bolshoi Ballet, and Stevie Wonder — to name a few). Dance the night away and enjoy an unforgettable evening of entertainment, cocktails, food, music, prizes, historical tours, and more!

Smart at Heart Trivia

The annual Smart at Heart Trivia competition hosted by the Auxiliary Board is one of our most anticipated events of the year. Enjoy good food, drinks, and great company while supporting a life-changing program. All proceeds benefit The Auditorium's summer camp, Hearts to Art, which helps young people who have experienced the death of a parent find comfort and healing through creative play! Questions cover a wide spectrum of topics, including movie quotes, sports, Chicago history, and so much more. No matter what your interests, there’s something for everyone.
