Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager position is responsible for assisting the Food & Beverage Manager during all events at the theatre while delivering the highest caliber of customer service to guests.

Assistant House Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant House Manager position is responsible for delivering the highest caliber of guest services during all events and functions within the Theatre; they will assist the Front of House Manager in leading the ushers, addressing theatre guests’ concerns, and handling emergency situations.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
-Deliver the highest caliber of guest services during all events and functions within the theatre.
-Be present for all Theatre events to assist Front of House Manager in proper event prep, breakdown, and guest service operations.
-Coordinate in-gress and e-gress during start of show, intermissions, and post show events.
-In collaboration with Front of House Manager, direct, supervise and mentor Usher and Volunteer staff on a consistent basis.
-Implement other necessary event requirements with the Front of House Manager, ie VIP Functions, Donor Events
-Ensure guest compliance to all event policies; ie camera, COVID-19
-Respond to emergencies and guest related issues/concerns in a timely manner with the Front of House Manager
-Assist Front of House Manager with interviewing, on-boarding, and training of new staff members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Knowledge and experience ushering and/or managing front of house operations within a large Theatre environment.
-Supervision of a large diverse PT time staff.

Bar Back

Position summary:
The custodian position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall aesthetic appearance of the Theatre and the surrounding facility grounds, while also delivering exceptional guest services to all Theatre guests.

-Sanitize, clean, and stock restrooms prior, during, and after events, including Front of House and Back of House areas

Position Summary:
The Auditorium works collaboratively with Roosevelt for payroll process and benefits
administration. This position will be the key liaison with Roosevelts HR department for FT staff needs. In addition, this role provides payroll function for all part-time staff including multiple unions and ensures timely remittance to all unions.
This is a new role and part of a 4-person finance office. This role improves ties between leadership and staff by responding to requests and other items, and reporting to leadership using HR indicators to assist in decision-making.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for on-boarding functions by coordinating with Roosevelt HR and working with individual department managers to onboard employees in Paylocity
- The timely and accurate processing of all full-time and part-time payroll for the organization including the transfer/upload of the completed payroll files into the accounting software
- The timely and accurate payment of all collective bargaining agreement (union) related benefits
- Responsible for acting as a liaison between Roosevelt University’s HR department and the Auditorium to ensure all HR initiatives and strategies align with each other and the overall mission and vision of the theatre
- Coordinate all recruiting and hiring efforts including position description, posting, receipt of resumes, screening candidates, submitting offers and onboarding new team members
- Coordinates professional development opportunities
- Liaison with RU IT department to coordinate IT needs
- Liaise with RU HR regarding benefits available to team members and maintaining legal compliance to cultivate a supportive workplace that promotes optimum performance ensuring that all team members understand their benefits and the policies of the organization.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- The qualifications for this role should include 1-3 years working in an HR or HR adjacent position, as well as possessing knowledge on benefits, conflict management and resolution, and best hiring practices and processes
- Ensure employees understand PTO policy and monitor and communicate balances per category with each employee
- Keep and update the organizational chart for the Auditorium with direction from the CEO
- The ideal candidate will have experience working with an accounting team in a collaborative environment; Systems experience with both Paylocity and Sage Intacct are a plus
- Partner with departmentcoll leaders to identify process improvements and share best practice ideas to elevate the employees experience and the effectiveness of the HR and payroll function

Production Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Coordinator is responsible for assisting with event production, operational needs, and the distribution of information for performances and events at the Auditorium Theatre. As part of the Operations team, they will work closely with the Production Manager and GM to help with show budgets, contracts, payroll, production estimates, settlements, client relations, maintenance of the building, and assist in supervision of employees within the operations department. The Coordinator role will support the Production Manager and the GM on technical matters, efficiencies that may be realized, safety, and union labor rules. The Production Coordinator will ensure a high level of client satisfaction of those renting and holding productions in the Auditorium Theatre.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
DUTY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the execution of production advances, labor calls, technical riders, and secure rental equipment and production services.
- Assist the GM in the creation and ongoing management of production budgets and estimates and help in the preparation of final settlement documents.
- Assist with special events held in the Auditorium facilities to ensure maximum client satisfaction.
- Coordinate timings and services with the GM, PM, and Front of House Manager.
- Serve as an additional operations point of contact for clients and production personnel on show related matters.
- Assist with client walkthroughs.
- Participate in the maintenance, preparation and improvement of production facilities for daily operations as well as specific production requirements.
- Coordinate with GM to ensure the building is operating safely and efficiently.
- Communicate with operations and janitorial departments to ensure all production facilities remain clean and maintained.
- Review and submit department payroll, payables, and assist with other administrative tasks.
- Plan and participate in minor set construction, lighting focus, running sound, and/or lighting in the Katten/Landau Studio.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Diverse knowledge in technical theatre practices including but not limited to general theatre lighting, audio, carpentry, and stage management.

Relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities are the most important qualifications of this position.
-Knowledge and experience ushering within a large Theatre environment
-Must be receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures
-Available to work a flexible schedule, including evening, weekend and Holiday hours
-Work successfully in a fast paced and loud environment
-Able to lift and carry 20 lbs
-Required to stand for long periods of time and walk up and down steps
-Comfortable with heights
-Excellent verbal skills
-Strong spirit of optimism and collaboration
-Active commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA)
Salary Range
$15.40/hour
