Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

Position Summary:
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager position is responsible for assisting the Food & Beverage Manager during all events at the theatre while delivering the highest caliber of customer service to guests.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Presents themselves in an upbeat, positive, professional, and friendly manner to all teammates, staff, and guests
- Sets a professional example to staff and guests. Acts with personal integrity in all customer situations
- Ability to work in a high volume, customer service driven environment.
- Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Listening to guests, repeating back to the guest the issue and then following through with solutions
- Ability to direct and assign tasks to staff during set up, break down, and during all events in the theatre
- Adheres to the theatre’s Food & Beverage policies as outlined in our handbook
- Assists bartenders with ID checks
- Assists bartenders with POS troubleshooting
- Helps to direct flow of patrons to bar locations
- Tracks product inventory during events to and from stockroom
- Assists F&B Manager with close outs of POS system
- Checks that all staff side work has been completed
- Other administrative tasks as assigned

- Knowledge and experience working as an Assistant Manager within a large Theatre or high volume F&B environment
- Must be receptive to working in inclement weather and extreme temperatures

Bar Back

Position Summary:
The Bar Back position is responsible for assisting bartenders with the setup and breakdown of bar locations. The Bar Back will also assist bartenders by running product to bar locations during all events within the Theatre.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
-Presents themselves in an upbeat, positive, professional, and friendly manner with teammates
-Assists bartenders with the set up and break down assigned bar locations.
-Brings ice to bar locations for set up and as needed during the event
-Removes trash from bar locations as needed
-Brings food and beverage product to bar locations as needed during events
-Delivers and collects bar floor mats at the beginning and end of each event
-Sweeps and mops behind bar locations
-Adheres to the theatre’s Food & Beverage policies as outlined in our handbook
-Assists with stocking bars with product needed for each event
-May help bartenders pour beer during high volume events
-Other duties as assigned
-May help move product deliveries

Coat Check Attendant

-Collects a coat check fee from guests
-Accurately accounts for all items checked in at coat check with corresponding tickets

HTA Teaching Artists
Hearts to Art Camp – Theatre, Music, Dance, and Visual Arts Teaching Artists
Camp Description
This unique performing arts camp brings together young people between the ages of 7 and 14 who have experienced the death of a parent to discover the healing power of creative play. Through the exploration and creation of dance, theatre, music, and visual arts, Hearts to Art inspires communication and collaboration, fosters emotional growth, and provides friendship, compassion, and community. Through interaction with young people who have experienced a similar loss, campers understand they are not alone. Small group healing sessions are facilitated by professional healing counselors, providing campers a safe time and place to express and share their feelings with peers. There are also licensed healing counselors on site throughout the duration of camp.
Teaching Artists Job Description
Teaching Artists (TA’s) in Theatre, Music, Dance, and Visual Arts are practicing artists and educators in their respective disciplines who are committed to working with young people. If there are any questions about what is being taught artistically or why it is being taught, they are the go-to people! Each Teaching Artist is partnered with a Group Leader and a Junior Counselor. The three work together to bring an exciting and educational experience to their assigned group of campers.
2025 Camp Dates:
Session 1 (Grades 2-5): July 14 – July 25
Session 2 (Grades 6-9): July 28 – August 8
Teaching Artist are present at camp 8am-4:30pm.
Pay rate $25 per hour.
Camp location is St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church 5649 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago IL 60660
Teaching Artist duties include but are not limited to:
· Develop and execute active lesson plans for classes, electives, mindfulness activities, and workshops
· Help campers perform in a mid-camp talent show
· Design and direct their discipline’s role in the final camp performance
· Host portions of final camp performance
· Interact with caregivers
· Support camp administrative staff throughout camp
· Assist with daily activities such as lunches, breaks, outdoor activities, guest speakers, and field trips
· Supervise campers throughout the day
· Work in collaboration with Group Leaders, Junior Counselors, and Camp Leadership Team
· Attend pre-camp training sessions and weekly or daily meetings
· Follow all camp protocol and trauma informed teaching practices
· Mentor campers and serve as positive role model
· Be a team player
· Maintain a positive attitude and have fun

HTA Healing Counselors
Hearts To Art Summer Camp - Healing Counselors
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

AVAILABLE POSITIONS
Healing Counselors (4 positions available) Healing Counselors are preferably licensed practitioners (LCSW, LCPC, LSW, LPC) who work directly with the campers to lead small healing groups 8 times over the 4 weeks of camp (4 times per camp session) to help campers navigate their feelings about their loss and have a safe place to express themselves. Healing Counselors are a contracted position, expected to work approximately 40 hours between June-August. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience working with children, bereavement, grief, and working with high trauma populations. They will have experience leading group sessions, working in play therapy, and creating/customizing their work to a wide range of ages, needs, and personalities. They will have a passion for and belief in the arts, if not experience in the arts. The pay rate is commensurate with licensing.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CAMP IN 2025
Camp will be held at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church, located at 5649 N. Sheridan Rd, 60660
POSITION DETAILS
Healing counselors must be available for all Mandatory Trainings, First Days of Camp and Healing Session Days as Follows:
• Pay is $20/h for pre-licensed clinicians, $30 for LSW/LPC’s and $35/h for LCSW/LCPC’s during camp and $20/h for all during training
• June 21st staff training for approximately 5 hours at training rate
• First day of each session – July 14th and July 28th (8:30-4:30pm)
• Healing Session Days - July 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd, 28th, 30th, August 4th and 6th (times TBD)
• First day attendance is from 8:00-approximately 4:00 and includes a healing session
• Other Healing sessions are in the afternoon and are between a 2–3-hour time commitment, though exact times are not yet set.
• Camp Memorials on the second Wednesday of camp July 23rd and August 6th following a healing session.
• Shows are every Friday afternoon throughout camp (July 18th, 25th, August 1st and 8th)
This is not mandatory as part of the position, but we would love you to join, watch and support!

Position summary:
The custodian position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall aesthetic appearance of the Theatre and the surrounding facility grounds, while also delivering exceptional guest services to all Theatre guests.
Major areas of responsibilities:
- Sanitize, clean, and stock restrooms prior, during, and after events, including Front of House and Back of House areas
- Maintain cleanliness of office spaces
- Collect and take out trash and recycling
- Clean wood, linoleum, tile and other flooring
- Shampoo and vacuum rugs and carpets
- Dust and sterilize all surfaces, including door handles, banisters, railings, and seating
- Wash exterior and interior windows and sidewalks and Theatre walls
- Handle clean-up of any spills or accidents during an event
- Use special custodial equipment: commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners
- Set up and break down tables and chairs for special events
- Distribute program boxes to all levels of the Theatre
