What makes a group?

Your favorite bunch of people constitutes a group: friends, family, co-workers, classmates - anyone! Group minimums range from 10 to 15 people, depending on the performance. Contact our group sales department for information on group minimums for shows that interest you.

Ticket prices vary by show, day, time and the type of group. Generally, groups receive a discount of 10%-15% off the regular ticket price and receive reduced handling fees. Student groups sometimes receive an additional discount in certain seating areas.

Where will our seats be?

Preferred seating is often available to groups before the general public, and we always do our best to get you the best seats possible for every performance. Placing your group order as early as possible is an excellent way to ensure great seating.

How do I make a group reservation?

Please call Beth Bullock to book your group at (312) 431-2357. Our group sales office hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. You can also email bbullock@auditoriumtheatre.org.

What is needed for a deposit?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is due 28 days from date of invoice.

When is final payment due?

Final payment is due 45 days prior to the scheduled performance. For orders placed within 45 days of a performance, full payment is due at the time of the reservation.

What methods of payment are accepted?

Checks, cash, or money orders are the required forms of payment for groups booking early. For bookings within 2 weeks of a performance, a credit card is required for full payment at the time of reservation. We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Diners Club.  Credit cards are never accepted for student matinee performance payments.

Is there anything special for students?

For some performances, we offer an additional student group discount over and above the standard group discount. This is called our Student Balcony Club. At least once a season, we present a special student matinee performance for elementary through high school students.

Are there discussions about the performances?

After many of our weekend matinee performances, we offer a Question & Answer session with select members of the cast and artistic team. If we do not have a pre-arranged Q&A, just ask--we are always happy to try to make your group's experience better!

Can my organization buy out a show?

The Auditorium Theatre welcomes groups of all sizes to buy out the entire theatre for a performance. To secure a date, buy-out arrangements should be made well in advance. Buy-outs are based on availability for select shows. Determined on a per-group basis, buy-out customers may receive special benefits and opportunities to customize the experience.

Is there anything nearby to do?

The Auditorium Theatre is located right in the Loop--what isn't there to do? From dining to museums, from Millennium Park to Grant Park, there is always something exciting within walking distance. Need a dinner or hotel recommendation? Directions? We know what you're looking for--just ask!
