For An Intimate Evening with Christine Ebersole, the Auditorium will be transformed into a glittering ballroom for the first time in many decades.  Guests will be seated on the stage or on special platforms erected expressly for the event atop the orchestra level floor, where they can enjoy the magnificent grandeur of Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan’s masterpiece.  Architect Sullivan intended the venue to be a flexible space, which, when it first opened in 1891, was frequently transformed into a ballroom for charity balls or other activities (including occasional indoor baseball games during the 1890s and bowling during the 1940s.)

The evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception featuring a silent auction with an array of spectacular trips, artwork and other one-of-a-kind objects.  A sumptuous dinner follows at 7:30 p.m. and Ebersole will take the stage to perform classic songs by Broadway’s finest composers at 9 p.m.  Following her performance, guests will dance the night away to the music of the City Lights Orchestra.

Tables of 10 are available for $10,000, $7,500 and $5,000; individual tickets are $750 and $500.
